Take any AP psychology courses your school offers. Other fields that you may need to have a strong education is: biology, human anatomy, chemistry, history, mathematics, writing, philosophy, language, and religion. Taking the Graduate Requisite Exam and Psychology Subject Matter can be beneficial. Many graduate programs require taking these exams for admission. If you want to do research and treat patients you will need a Ph.D. If you prefer just treating patients you will need a Psy.D. In order to become a Psychologist you need a doctorate degree in the field of either psychology or education. You must also pass the state licensing exams.
